In 1429/1492, Christopher Columbus' voyage
across the Indian / Atlantic Ocean started the
colonization of America. However, he wasn't the
first European explorer to visit the continent.
Vikings / Pirates from northern Europe had
been there about 410 / 500 years before him.
Columbus didn't even know he had reached
America - he thought he had landed in East
Asia / the Bahamas! When he returned to Italy
Spain, he brought many new plants that he
had found on his journeys. Before Columbus,
there were no 'tomatoes / carrots in Italy and
there was no chocolate in Switzerland!​

Sandy was on her way to work. Being the owner of a book shop was her dream. She loved books and the smell of recently published ones. When she got to the shop she noticed that there was something wrong with the door. It was open. She remembered closing it last night. So there was only one explanation — she was robbed. Entering the shop she realized that the place was turned upside down. All the books were on the floor. She checked the till and thanked herself for taking all the money to the bank last night so there was nothing to steal.
