The book tells about the search for pirate captain Flint’s treasure. The story begins with the Inn "Admiral Benbow", located near Bristol. An elderly man named Billy Bones comes into the inn. He is afraid of something and he asks Jim Hawkins the son of the innkeeper to accompany him everywhere. He was hiding from the Black Dog, who soon found him. There is a fight between them.
