Though my son had promissed to behave himself I was worried that he was not going to like it on his first day. But when he came home he was very pleased. As for me I was interested in what had happened during the day. “Well,” I said, “now you’ve been to school. Do you like it? Are you going to go to school every day?” “Yes,” he said. “There is a little French girl in my class and she is going to be my friend.” “But does she speak English?” I asked. “No,” said my son, “but it doesn’t matter because she laughs in English. ”Now it was I who really worried.
