anti-fashion by lisa wilkinson

if you ask me, it's high time they (1) "did" away with fashion. i've had enough of it. just when i think i've finally got it right, i pop (2) ……. a clothes shop to find that they've changed all the rules! one minute it's cool to wear brand new expensive stuff, and the next you have to take all that (3) ……. and wear clothes that look as if they've been handed (4) by your grandma. you can't win! well, i've torn (5) ……. my fashion magazines and adopted anti-fashion. it's an idea that has grown (6) ……. of frustration and, to be honest, a lack of money to spend on yet another dress that i only wear once.

i started by drawing (7) ……. a plan. i decided to line all my clothes (8) ……. together, try them all (9) ……. and give to charity anything that either didn't fit or suit me. then, i wouldn't buy any more new clothes until something wore (10) ……. i went (11) ……. my plan again, and knew that i would have to be tough with myself. after all, i'd spent a lot of money on some of that stuff. finally, i plucked up the courage to do it. it felt a little bit like being a child again, dressing (12) ……. in your mum's clothes, but i also felt a great sense of freedom.

that was a year ago and, although i occasionally see something and think, 'oh, that's gorgeous! ', i haven't bought any clothes. if you ever come over to my house and i (13) ……. you around my bedroom, youmight see last season's fashions, but you'll also see a woman who feels free. and that's anti-fashion. do you think it'll catch (14) …….?

William Henry Gates III is an American business magnate, investor, inventor, philanthropist and computer programmer.  He was born in Seattle, Washington on October 28, 1955. His father, William H. Gates II was a Seattle attorney and his mother, Mary Maxwell Gates was a school teacher and chairperson of the United Way charity. Gates and his two sisters had a comfortable upbringing, with Gates being able to attend the exclusive secondary "Lakeside School".
Bill Gates started studying at Harvard University in 1973 where he spent time with Paul Allen.  Gates and Allen worked on a version of the programming language BASIC, that was the basis for the MITS Altair (the first microcomputer available). He did not go on to graduate from Harvard University as he left in his junior year to start what was to become the largest computer software company in the world; Microsoft Corporation.
After dropping out of Harvard Bill Gates and his partner Paul Allen set about revolutionizing the computer industry. In 1975 the company Micro-soft was formed, which was an abbreviation of microcomputer software. It soon became simply "Microsoft"® and went on to completely change the way people use computers. Bill Gates has not just used his excellent education and love of computers to make himself a rich and powerful entrepreneur, he also made his dream of "a computer in every household and business" to become true.

Once our family went camping. The car stopped next to a light birch. It was summer and the sun was shining brightly and caressed the warmth. In birch you can see the life of its inhabitants: birds, squirrels, woodpeckers, mice and other animals. On the ground were scattered the footprints of animals, and the birch trunk was visible through the hole of a woodpecker. We chose a small clearing surrounded by trees. Near the birch trees, a river used to run and swim and play fish. Dad went to the water and after some time brought some fishes: gobies, loaches, carp, carp and bream. Mom cleaned the fish put on skewers. Dad lit a fire and put the skewers on two sticks mounted on the sides. And while I grilled our dinner constantly spinning them so that the fish cooked evenly. And we bathed in the river, splashing and laughing. Droplets of water tumbled, glistening in the sun and sparkled like a little almaziki. Then we warmed up around the campfire for a hearty lunch, listening to the birds singing. It was just a wonderful day.
