When my next-door neighbour Alex came/ had come back from his first term at university, he changed / had changed completely. He grew / had grown his hair long, and, when I saw him, he was wearing baggy black clothes instead of the cool clothes he wore / had worn before. He looked / had looked like an old-fashioned rock singer! When I asked him about his new look, he told me that he went / had been to a concert when he arrived / had arrived at university, and after a few weeks he "joined / had joined a band. Now he says he's a musician and he's going to be famous one day!
Brian answered that it had really been something silly.
Tom wanted to know what had happened.
Brian remembered Tom that he had wanted to try an extreme sport.
Tom answered that he remembered.
Brian said that he had finally decided to have a kitesurfing lesson.
Tom wondered if kitesurfing wasn't really risky.
Brian answered that it was a bit but he added that it had been fantastic. He said that he was actually thinking of joining the kitesurfing club and asked Tom what he thought.
Tom answered that he wouldn't if he had been Brian. He added that Brian had got a black eye, so it was obviously dangerous. Tom said that if Brian asked him, he would advise him to stick to a safer sport.
Brian told Tom that he hadn't got his black eye from kitesurfing. He explained that his friend Paul had accidentally hit him in the eye with his bag on the way home.
Tom answered that he saw.
Brian wanted to know what Tom thought about coming with him next time he went. He added that it was great fun.
Tom answered that he didn't know.
The crystal palace - pavilion, revolutionary for the middle of the 19th eyelid, from glass, metal and concrete constructed in the Hyde park of London. In 1852-1854 the Crystal palace was transferred to Sidenkhem - Hill and is reconstructed, but in 1936 burned down.
For bigger transparency of the largest the then of the building was decided to refuse traditional windows. The palace was built from separate designs which easily gathered and understood. The crystal palace - a unique construction for the time - became a sample for designers of exhibition halls. During the long period the Crystal palace was used for holding mass cultural and sporting events: exhibitions, concerts, sports competitions.
