The London Music Event.

The Proms is a summer season of daily 1) … music concerts and other events in London. The season lasts seven weeks and there 2) … concerts every night. Most of the concerts are performed at the Royal Albert Hall. Nowadays it is 3) … classical music festival in the world.

The famous festival started more than a hundred years ago. Robert Newman, the manager of the Queen's Hall in London, met a talented young musician and conductor Henry Wood. The concerts would begin with easy pieces of music and gradually introduce more challenging compositions. international sports competitions for people with disabilities. Traditionally, they are held after the Olympic Games, and since the 1988 Summer Paralympic Games - at the same sports facilities; in 2001, this practice is enshrined in an agreement between the IOC and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). The Summer Paralympic Games have been held since 1960 and the Winter Paralympic Games since 1976.    

The emergence of sports in which people with disabilities can participate is associated with the name of the English neurosurgeon Ludwig Guttman, who, overcoming age-old stereotypes in relation to such people, introduced sports into the process of rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injuries. He proved in practice that sports for people with physical disabilities creates conditions for successful life, restores mental balance, allows them to return to a full life regardless of physical disabilities, and strengthens the physical strength necessary to drive a wheelchair.
