It was a very dark night and the old house was completely quiet. Suddenly, the door burst open. Jackie heard somebody climbing the stairs... She was holding her little brother's hand, trying to comfort him while holding a flashlight in her other hand. "It's okay. I'm going to get your lost toy you dropped upstairs," she whispered. He was shaking, and she decided to leave him downstairs. "Stay where you are, Gregory!" she commanded and took off. The stairway was quite old, boards creeking as she took a step, and suddenly, Jackie felt something cold on her shoulder just as she reached the second floor. She turned around, and it was grandma Marjory. But Jackie remembered that she died years ago!
