In modern word we face many problems and environmental pollution is one of them. I'd like to tell you about the ecological situation in Russia. Despite having the most diverse nature and climate we don't fully appreciate it. One of the main problems today remains the destruction of Siberian forests for trade. Therefore many natural animal habitats are destroyed and rare animals go extinct. Another issues are air and water pollutions. Almost everyone nowadays have a car which produce a great amount of exhaust fumes. Furthermore, a lot of cities such as Norilsk, Magnitogorsk and others are built around factories which create smog and dump chemicals into rivers. On average, every person in Russia produces 400 kg of chemical waste per year.To make it worse most of of the equipment in operation is outdated which often result in leaks, poor product quality and even explosions. Besides, an air filled with smoke on par with dirty water have a bad impact on our health. Long-term exposure to particulate pollution can result in significant health problems including: increased respiratory symptoms, such as irritation of the airways, coughing or difficulty breathing.
It's our duty to protect nature and we must do something as soon as possible. The priority tasks in the field of ecology are the transition to the best available technologies and development and improvement of the waste management. Also there are plans to create more sanctuaries(заповедники) to protect wild nature. In addition government now takes serious action against poachers.(браконьеры).
