What makes some people do incredibly dangerous sports? I prefer to watch sport from
the comfort of my own armchair, so I've often asked that question. I think there are as many answers as there are people.
Everyone has seen the thrill of the bungee jump; the image of at the top ofa very high bridge while they're waiting to throw themselves off. But why would any normal person decide to do something so dangerous? Well, clearly, there are many people who simply enjoy the
danger.
If bungee jumping is a once-in-a-lifetime thrill, what about doing a dangerous sport for a
living? There's no way I'd ever do that! Look at Formula One, for example. It's true that motor racing is much safer than it used to be - but you never know.
But everyday sports can sometimes be as dangerous as sports bike motor racing. There are
often accidents as a result of horse riding and rugby, for example, but they are popular with thousands of people in the UK. In fact, I played rugby a lot when I was younger, and there were lots of accidents during every match! Luckily none of them were serious, though
But for me personally, the most frightening sport of all is skydiving. I can't imagine wanting
to jump out of an aeroplane. They say moving towards the Earth at high speed is the most amazing feeling. Then when your parachute opens, you come down gently. I'd love to know what that feels like, but I know I never will. It's the 'when your parachute opens' bit that scares me. What if it doesn't open?
But I guess that's why people enjoy these dangerous sports. It's the 'what if' factor.

Впоследствии выяснилось,что Маленький Принц прилетел с астероида В-612.Планетка была крохотной,на ней и умещались только 3 вулканчика..Но один раз на астероид занесло семечко розы,из которой вырос прекрасный цветок.Малыш очень её полюбил розу,всячески ухаживал за ней,но она оказалась жутко капризным существом,и Маленький принц, можно сказать, "сбежал" от неё.Он стал путешествовать по планетам:на одной жил Король,на другой-Честолюбец,на третьей-Пьяница,на четвёртой-Делец,а на этой-Фонарщик..Всё повергает Маленького Принца в изумление:он открывает множество человеческих качеств, такие как честолюбие,пьянство,чрезмерная гордость...Наконец,он попадает на шестую планету,где жил Географ,он советует малышу отправиться на Землю.Уже на Земле Маленький Принц знакомится с Лисом,который открывает ему тайну:"Будь в ответе за тех,кого приручил.."Лис научил его дружить..В пустыне малыш встретил змею,которая сказала,что может вернуть его обратно,после этого Маленький Принц уже встретил лётчика.В конце "Взрослый" понимает,что его самого приручили..А Маленький Принц отправляется на свою "звезду"..

The Grand Canyon attracts people because it is very big and beautiful with different kinds of plants and animals on opposite sides of the canyon. It looks different at different times of day and in the winter it is covered with snow.10. People say that the US is a young country because It’s only been independent for around three hundred years.11. Americans have tried to save many of the most beautiful wild areas of the United States. There are a lot of parks, forests and wildlands where they can enjoy the beauty and power of wild nature.12. I think that the U.S. isa "melting pot" because many different social groups from different religious, ethnic, racial and cultural backgrounds have chosen to live here.
