Lyubertsy was first mentioned in 1621. Then there were only 9 yards in the village. He achieved special rights for his settlement, which led to the growth of the village, he built a church, but it was destroyed in the 30s of the XX century.

When Gryazev was gone, Lyubertsy changed hands. A powerful impetus to the development of the city was given by the railway track that appeared in the city. This road connected Moscow and Ryazan. In 1875, the first men's boarding school was opened, and later a women's school appeared. But only in 1925 Lyubertsy was given the status of a city.

Now 200 thousand people live in the city. There are several neighborhoods in the city that have their own names. The historical center of Krasnaya Gorka is located in the north of the city. New residential areas are being built around the city.
