Yulia Nesterenko Julia was born on June 15, 1979 in the city of Brest Graduated from Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin in 2003, Faculty of Physical Education. She received the title of Master of Sports of Belarus in track and field athletics in 1997 and an international master of sports in 2001. In 2001, in Amsterdam, she took 2nd place in the relay and 6th place in the 100m race at the European Youth Championship U23. Champion of the XXVIII Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 in the 100 m race. In 2008, at the Beijing Olympics, she failed to reach the final of the 100 meters race, reaching only the semifinals. In 2012, due to a foot injury, Nesterenko missed the Olympic Games in London. In 2016 she planned to compete at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In 2017, Julia completed her sports career and switched to coaching.
