But never and nowhere, in no film or interview, you can hear the verbs, for example, in the Past Perfect Continuous Tense, so to speak, "a fancy language". Yes, to have an idea about the presence of these grammatical structures is necessary, but not to the same degree as we learn at school and in the institutes. That is why I believe that the English we study at school, should be simplified to the level of practice and almost elementary, frequently used grammar.
