But there is another big river in Moscow which nobody can see because it is hidden under the ground - the Neglinka River. When Moscow was first founded, it was built where the Neglinka met the Moskva River. So, then the Kremlin was surrounded by these two rivers. The Neglinka was very clean and people enjoyed fishing in it. But at the beginning of the 19" century, a tunnel was built for this river. Instead of the river, there is now a street called Neglinka. Today, if you want to see the Neglinka River, it is possible to go on a special underground excursion. Many tourists attend this excursion under the very centre of Moscow. But you have to be older than 18 years of age to do it.
