Thousands of people use transport every day. Everybody wants to go somewhere as quickly as possible, with all conveniences and safety. People travel for pleasure and on business and they have different means of transport at their disposal (trains, plane, ships, buses, bicycles, etc.)
As for travelling to other towns or countries my favourite means of transport is the cruise ship. It’s relaxing, you can walk around and there are usually lots of things to do such as swimming in the pool, sunbathing, eating at the restaurant, admiring the view of the sea. You can chat with other passengers and enjoy a leisurely voyage. But it’s very slow and expensive.
If you want to reach your destination quickly the fastest means of transport is an airplane. It is also very comfortable. On the other hand it’s very expensive and it can be unreliable too because there might be delays.
A car is very comfortable. You can stop wherever you want and don’t have to share it with others. Still it’s also expensive, not to mention the fact that it can be very difficult to find somewhere to park. Moreover it’s dangerous and stressful.
I think the safest and the cheapest means of transport is a train. Although trains can be dirty and crowded the majority of people prefer them.
A few people prefer buses because of their cost. They are cheap but slow, unreliable and crowded.
As for travelling in our town I love going on foot. Although it is slow I’m always on time. Besides this it’s great exercise. The bad aspect of this include having to breathe in car fumes because of great number of cars.
If I’m in a hurry I take a taxi. It’s quick, convenient and more private than travelling by bus. But it can be expensive. Sometimes I catch a minibus. It’s much cheaper.
Sochi is a town of heavy traffic. So you can get stuck in traffic jams easily.
