Sea lions - members of the family of eared seals . In the world there are only five species of sea lions - north, south, New Zealand , Australia and California . All of them are quite similar , both among themselves and with the sea lions , which are their closest relatives.Sea lions feed on fish, molluscs , crustaceans. Shellfish they find on the bottom, diving to a depth of 90 m and fish pursued with great dexterity . In water, these animals move like birds actively rowing forelegs. Since sea lions live in warmer waters than most of pinnipeds , they do not accumulate large reserves of fat.
