February 8, 2002 was signed the law of the Republic of Tyva No. 1302 "On the state flag of the Republic of Tuva"[2], adopted on 30 January 2002 the Supreme Khural (Parliament) of the Republic of Tuva, which gave a new description of the flag:
"The state flag of the Republic of Tyva is a blue rectangular cloth. On the hoist side, from the upper and lower corners of the flag, proceed slanted white and blue stripes. Blue stripes form when connecting one strip extending along the length of the flag in the middle. Parallel to it, top and bottom are white stripes.
