Civil war in China — the armed fight in China between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China (CPC). War began in 1927 after the Northern campaign during which according to the solution of the right wing of the Kuomintang at the head of which there was Chan Kaysha, the union between the Kuomintang and a PDA was broken off.
In December, 1936 gomindanovsky generals Cheung Syuelyan (Zhang Xueliang) and Jan Huchen (Yang Hucheng) arrested Chan Kaysha, having forced it to agree on the proposal of communists on a truce both parties could concentrate on fight against Japanese aggressors. But soon after a victory over Japan civil war was resumed with a new force.
1949 saw a victory of communists over all country: On January 31 Kitayskay Red Army without fight entered Beijing; On April 21, communists forced Yangzi, having taken Nanjing two days later. On October 1 in Beijing People's Republic of China was proclaimed. On October 14 Guangzhou fell also.
The main operations came to the end with disembarkation of the Chinese Red Army men on the island of Hainan and full mastering with it by means of local guerrillas in the spring of 1950. After their termination under control of communists there was continental China and the island of Hainan, and under the power of a Kuomintang there were islands of Taiwan, Penghu (in the Taiwan Strait), and group of islands (Tszinmen and Matsza), relating to the Province of Fujian.
