INFINITIVE/Ving
После глаголов love, like, dislike, hate, start, begin, continue, stop
и некоторых других может употребляться как инфинитив смыслового глагола,
так и смысловой глагол с окончанием -ing:
I love to watch / watching films at night.
He likes to play / playing football.
She hates to wash / washing the dishes.

My friend's name is Robert.I have known him since my childhood.He is tall and his hair is brown.He has green eyes and light skin.He likes ice skating and running ,but his favourite activity is swimming.We enjoy playing table tennis and badminton together.I always have fun with him!He is really funny , loyal and talkative.He always gives me a hand if i need  it.I am sure he will never betray or disappoint me.I can rely on him.I am convinced that  this is what the true friendship is supposed to be.

I have a friend. His name is Ivan. He is 13 years old. He’s my school-mate. Ivan is cheerful, inquisitive and kind. He is very responsive. He will help me in hour of need. I always can rely on him. Ivan goes to sports school. He is very tall that’s why he goes in for basketball. On weekends we play football or cycle. Sometimes we go fishing and fish crucians. Also he is fond of playing computer games and watching science fiction. His favourite film is "Interstellar". We often go to the cinema. Ivan is true friend. My father says that I’m lucky because I have so reliable and true friend. I value our friendship.

I am proud of having such a friend. I will try to keep up our friendship as long as I can. I think he will help me when I have problems or troubles. It is easier to lose a good friend than to find. In conclusion I’d like to say the proverb. I complettely agree with it: «A man is judged by his foes as well by his friends».
