Education at home. 1 about 4000 families teach their at home, and they do very well. one example is the tanner family from wales. eve tanner, 27 and her 29-year –old husband james do not send their children to school. the tanner children, six-year- old stephan and eight-year-old jason, study at home with their mother. child 2 they have a bright, study in their home. comfort 3 4 all around there are a lot of books and the children’ are on the walls. james says, ‘my mum and i think we got nothing from school – only a diploma. in fact, everything was paint bore 5 some parents who are teaching their children at home have a study programme but the tanners don’t. eve says, “the children love books. they read all sorts of things. and of course we read story books together. i teach them and mathematics, too. write 6 they write list for me. then they go shopping with me and pay for the things we buy. shop 7 eve and james take their children to the library, to museums, to concerts, to pools and to gymnastics. swim 8 9 they think these activities are very important. eve says, “most of friends are thinking about their children at home” we/interest teach
