When she was alive, my beloved grandmother, she told me about his wartime childhood. She was twelve years old when the war began. She lived with her family in the Omsk region. Childhood was hungry, it was a difficult time. My grandmother's father was sent to the war, he died in Leningrad, grandmother and my mother was left with three children. I can imagine how hard it was to survive this terrible time .. In order to feed the family, mother grandmother baked bread. In a flour has added bran, grass. This bread was very bitter and hard, Grandma long remember the taste of the bread. In the spring, as soon as the snow melts from the fields, people dug the frozen half-rotten potatoes, collected the remaining spikes in the fields. Children went to school at a time, as there were no clothes and shoes for the whole family had some boots. The school did not have enough textbooks and paper. Sometimes, instead of lessons, my grandmother, and at that time a small girl, a cup of soup to work with neighbors in the garden, dig it, weeded, vodilas with children. After the war, life was all too very hard. My grandmother always told me that I went to school, because she did not have to get even a high school education, so she has always wanted to see us educated.
