NEW SPORTS CENTRE FOR NEWPORT
The town of Newport is going to have a new sports centre. At the moment, there aren’t many sports facilities in the town, and there aren’t many parks or open spaces. Local people hope that the centre will give young people something to do, as well as encourage older people to get healthier. There is going to be public transport to the new centre, so everybody can get there easily.
It is going to be a very big sports centre, with six football pitches, plus tennis courts and other facilities inside. There are going to be cafés and restaurants for supporters and players. If you want thrills and adventure, they are also going to build a climbing wall, so people can try a more unusual sport, too!
