Millions of people all over the world are fond of sports and games. Sport is very important in our life. There are many proverbs about sports and health. For example: « Health is above wealth » and « A healthy mind in a healthy body ». Sport is popular with children and grown-ups because it helps us to keep fit, look slim, be cheerful, active and disciplined. It makes our body flexible and increases blood circulation. There is a great number of sports facilities in Moscow ( stadiums, swimming pools, skating rinks, tennis courts). Every school has a gym or a sports ground. We play indoor and outdoor games there. Pupils often hold competitions and win a victory over another school team. We have excellent basketball and football teams in our school. We also run a race and show excellent results. As for me, sport is an important part of my life. In summer I enjoy playing badminton, football and volleyball. In winter I like skating and skiing. Frankly speaking, I*m not keen on sport struggle. I prefer playing basketball to watching. My favourite sport is an acrobatic. I do acrobatic for 4 years. This sport is for active people because you must jump various jumps. You must be strong, too because acrobats are usually training in pairs and groups. Sometimes I have competitions. These are among the most important days in my life. I train for three or four hours three times a week. When I come to my training, I warm up firstly. If I stretch when my muscules are cold, I might do myself an injury. Then I begin working in pair. Since I began doing acrobatic I achive my aims. I can do many difficult jumps, different tricks and I became strong. The more I train the better I become. Practice makes me perfect. In a word, sport gives me a lot of joy and pleasure. It makes me more sporty and cheerful.
Every person longs to have the kind of a family that is the ideal for him. When we talk of an ideal family, it means that it is the family that a person views to be perfect. Even in a person’s early years in life, admiration of different families starts and thus making one dream of having a family someday that is picture perfect for him. There are three main characteristics that I deem to be essential in having an ideal family. First, it must have a traditional style. Second, it must have only two to three children. Third,it must have religion.
A traditional family is a functional family in structure. The father need to find means for the whole family’s subsistence. He works and is known to be the bread winner of the family. He will provide the physiologic needs of family and fill the house with love, happiness, security and discipline. On the other hand, the mother has an extraordinary task in the family and that is to take care of the entire household; this means that she attends to the different needs of the family; she will be the one that wakes up early and sleeps late at night and is a role model in the house; she also has the responsibility of inculcating the best values in their children and giving them the best of care. The children have to take their education and help the mother to clean the house and in other basic household tasks. The traditional type of family is considered as an ideal type of family. The children, who are the center of care, love and attention must be instilled with good values because they are the pillars of the family. In this type of family, each has to function well and must do their part to make it an ideal family. The choice of number of children varies with parents.
