Joseph Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili (Stalin) was born on December 21, 1879 in Gori (Georgia), in the family of a shoemaker. In 1888, I. Dzhugashvili entered the theological school and, in 1894, after graduating with honors, entered the theological Seminary in Tiflis. Here, for the first time, he gets acquainted with the main ideas of Marxism. In 1898, the seminarian Dzhugashvili joined the Georgian social democratic party "Mesame-Dasi", and in 1899 he was expelled from the Seminary for participating in the activities of underground Marxist circles. From this moment begins the story of a professional revolutionary underground worker, a daring expropriator who had many aliases, for example, Ryaboy, Vasily, Vasiliev. However, two of them went down in history — Koba and Stalin.
