To begin with, I`d like to say that tolerance is the willingness to accept feelings, habits, or beliefs that are different from your own. Tolerance is absolutely important people`s capability, as it is so difficult to accept something that may be harmful or unpleasant for you. Let`s refer to the example. Everybody knows about the generation gap. It is a continual tug of war between the adults and the youth, and only a tolerant attitude can help to cope with the different problems. Another example is connected with up-to-date problems, such as disabled people, religion. Nowadays, it is necessary to create tolerant attitude among young people towards persons with special needs, people of other nations, cultures, and religions. People should clearly understand that they must not resort to violence or slander against a person with whom they disagree. But at the same time, it does not mean that they have to support or agree with their beliefs. Tolerance means respect for other thoughts. In conclusion I'd like to say that tolerant people help in keeping the society peaceful.
