AFI's One Hundred 100 Heroes and Villains is a list of the one-hundred greatest screen characters, fifty each in the hero and villain categories. The presentation was nominated for an Emmy Award. One of the most famous on that list is Robin Hood. Robin Hood is a heroic man found in English folklore who, according to the legend, was also a highly skilled archer and swordsman. They often show him as "robbing from the rich and giving to the poor". He is also the chief of his band of "Merry Men". Robin Hood became a popular folk figure in the late-medieval period, and continues to be widely represented in modern literature, films and television. The reality of Robin Hood is still in discussion. The legend about him is partly based on a historical person. A difficulty with any such historical research is that Robin was a very popular name especially in the 13th century. The surname Hood was also rather common. My School
We all spend quite a big part of our lives at school. It is a place where we get education and where we are taught important life lessons, so it is no exaggeration to say that my school has become my second home.
My school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and lasts till 3 in the afternoon. We have classes every day from Monday to Saturday. We learn Russian, Literature, Maths, English, History, Biology, Handicraft and other subjects.
Our school is quite big. There are a lot of good-sized classrooms, a spacious assembly hall, a canteen, a gym and a library in the school. Every classroom has a chalkboard/whiteboard, a few bookcases and a lot of desks and chairs. On the walls there are pictures and maps.
Our school is a great place for children because of its dedicated teachers. Most of them are kind to pupils. Our teachers are always ready to answer our questions and listen to our problems.
I really like my school and I am happy to study in it.
