Have you ever been to Ladoga? It is a small village in Leningrad region with a long and great history. In fact, Russian history
BEGAN in Ladoga in the 7th century in many ways.
Historically, Ladoga was located on one of the MOST IMPORTANT
trading ways.
That is why a fortress WAS BUILT there.
The Swedes tried to invade it several times, but they WERE NOT successful.
LATER Peter I moved the administrative and people
facilities to another place and Ladoga lost its economic significance.
If you come to Ladoga, the NUMBER ONE thing you must see is the Kremlin and the Church of St. George. You will never forget your visit to Ladoga.
