Here in Europe, raccoons have delivered and brought by force and only in the 30-ies of the last century. In Russia, the raccoons were even earlier, but initially only in the form of skins. I just did the raccoons in a different way — by geneti. Geneti is a close cousin to the mongoose. Them (Genet) in Europe are often kept in houses instead of cats to catch rats. The fur of raccoons were similar to those of exotic pest control, and Russia was called the geneti. Then this word gradually transformed into genota, and then to the raccoon.
