Freddie Mercury was born on September 5, 1946, on the island of Zanzibar. At birth, the boy received the name Farrukh. Freddie decided to find a new group. In April 1970, Tim Staffel decided to leave the Smile, and the place of vocalist in their group was for Freddie.
