Shrek is a green ogre with funny ears, brown eyes, a wide flat nose and a big mouth. In the first film of the series he wears a white long-sleeved shirt, a brown mini vest, brown pants and leather boots.

Shrek is very strong, able to walk for many miles without getting tired. He is a very good hunter and cook. He is clever and good-humoured.
