В тексте Cartoon Drama перепутана последовательность
его частей. Решите, в каком порядке должны следовать
части этого текста и заполните таблицу после него.
CARTOON DRAMA
a) The plays of Shakespeare have been performed in almost
every manner possible on stage, on film, as opera, as
ballet, in modern dress, you name it.
b) Because many of the plays have witches, dreams, fairies
and spirits, the animators had plenty to work with. The project
has the blessing of the Royal Shakespeare Company's
president, Prince Charles, who says, “I welcome this pioneering
project which will bring Shakespeare's great wisdom, insight
and all-encompassing view of mankind to many millions from
all parts of the globe who have never been in his company
before). And the cartoons might just be fun, too!
c) The voices belong to actors from the Royal Shakespeare
Company and the National Theatre. The cartoon plays will be
broadcast in thirty-seven countries, and both the scripts and
the videos are also available,
d) But Christopher Grace, a television and animation
producer in Wales, saw still one more way: cartoons. His
brainchild, Shakespeare, the Animated Tales, was released
last year in Britain and this spring in America. Six
Shakespeare plays were produced in animated form.
e) So they went to Moscow and hired the talents of
Soyuzmultfilm, a Russian animation company. Then the text
was abridged, and though all the lines are Shakespeare, there
is also narration to help speed the plot.
f) Each play takes about three hours to present on the
stage; the cartoon versions are thirty minutes long. Besides
144
Grace and the project director, Dave Edwards, wanted the
animation to have a unique look.
g) Christopher Grace's goal was to get young people
interested in Shakespeare, and, he says, animation made things
possible that live action could not.
